The Café at Queensgate opened in December 2002 with limited seating for 24 people and lunch only.  Hours were short and the menu was limited.

In March 2004 the café was purchased by Louann Dunn, the present owner. Louann moved here from Buffalo, NY where she owned a bakery.  Never anticipating owning a café, this was a new venture for her.  With the purchase of the café, more seating was added along with extended hours and a small breakfast menu.

The success of the café started to outgrow the small space so Louann decided to pursue expansion.  After looking in to several options for an expansion, none seemed the best route to go.  In June 2006, Louann began looking at a vacant building across the street from the original café.  The building had supposedly already been leased causing her to almost miss out on a perfect location! Luckily, Louann was able to secure the space and in July 2006 the decision to move was made and the design process began.  A lot of time went in to the design of the new café in order to make it as efficient and beautiful as possible.  Louann managed to keep the small café running while, she was putting in long hours at the new location.  With a lot of help from family, friends, and staff the new café was painted, decorated, and ready to open.

In November of 2006 Louann opened the new and improved Café at Queensgate.  When it opened there was seating for about 70 people that included a beautiful lounge area with a comfortable couch and chairs.  The warm décor was something that made people want to settle in and visit with friends.  As the café’s customer base grew, even more seating accommodations were added. 

In January 2008 it was decided to add Sundays to the schedule, serving breakfast all day.  This was the main suggestion from customers who continued to ask for more dining options.  Sundays have proved to be a great day for business and customers continue to support the café.
